Our Statement of Faith

These foundational truths guide everything we do at King's Garden Church. We hold firmly to the historic Christian faith revealed in Scripture.

But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it.
2 Timothy 3:14

The Bible

We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God — without error in its original manuscripts. It is the supreme and final standard for all faith, conduct, and doctrine. The Scriptures are living and active, sufficient for teaching, reproof, correction, and training in righteousness.

2 Timothy 3:16–17 Hebrews 4:12 2 Peter 1:20–21 Psalm 119:105

God / The Trinity

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three co-equal persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each person of the Trinity shares the same divine nature, yet is distinct in role. God is the Creator, Sustainer, and Ruler of all things — sovereign, holy, infinite in power, wisdom, justice, and love.

Deuteronomy 6:4 Matthew 28:19 2 Corinthians 13:14 Genesis 1:1

Jesus Christ

We believe in the full deity and perfect humanity of our Lord Jesus Christ. We affirm His virgin birth, sinless life, miraculous ministry, substitutionary and atoning death on the cross, bodily resurrection, ascension to the right hand of the Father, and present ministry of intercession.

John 1:1–14 Philippians 2:5–11 1 Corinthians 15:3–4 1 Timothy 2:5

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit is a divine person, co-equal with the Father and the Son. He convicts, regenerates, indwells, seals, guides, teaches, sanctifies, and empowers believers for godly living and service. He distributes spiritual gifts for the edification of the Church and the glory of God.

Acts 1:8 John 14:16–17 1 Corinthians 12:4–11 Ephesians 1:13–14

Salvation

We believe salvation is a free gift of God's grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ alone. It cannot be earned by human effort. Through repentance and faith in Christ's finished work, every person can be forgiven, justified, and adopted into God's family — born again to a living hope.

Ephesians 2:8–9 Romans 3:23–24 Romans 10:9–10 John 3:16

The Church

We believe the Church is the body of Christ on earth — a living, Spirit-filled community called to worship God, grow in discipleship, love one another, and carry the Gospel to every nation. Christ is the Head; every believer is a vital member gifted and called to serve.

Ephesians 4:1–16 1 Corinthians 12:27 Matthew 16:18 Colossians 1:18

Baptism & Communion

We believe in two ordinances: Water Baptism by immersion as a public declaration of faith, and Communion observed regularly as a remembrance of Christ's sacrificial death — proclaiming the Lord's death until He comes, uniting believers in gratitude and hope.

Matthew 28:19 Romans 6:3–4 1 Corinthians 11:23–26 Acts 2:41

The Second Coming

We believe in the personal, visible, and glorious return of Jesus Christ. He will judge the living and the dead, establish His eternal Kingdom, and make all things new. This blessed hope calls every believer to holy, watchful, and faithful living until that day.

Acts 1:11 Revelation 21:1–5 Titus 2:13 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17
